Humidity control is required in various areas in pharmaceuticals during production, processing, Packing, storage etc. Humidity causes product deterioration, especially of hygroscopic materials, organic corrosion, biochemical reactions and also increases the injurious activity of microorganisms. High humidity in pharmaceutical industry also causes deterioration of product quality, increase microorganisms and effects the formulations and decreases the shelf life.

Our Product Details

In pharma the moisture control is important in the following areas
Processing
Manufacturing
Storage
Packing
R & D labs
Manufacturing
During manufacturing also e.g. effervescent tablets, cough drops, Penicillin etc requires controlled humidity.
Packing
Similarly humidity control is key during packing.

Processing
In pharma during various processes the humidity control is important e.g. Tablet compression, Tablet coating, Capsule Filling, Powder Milling, Tablets compounding, Liver Extracts etc.
Storage
Storage of raw material and finished products are required to store under low humidity with temperature control.
R & D labs
Labs have various equipments & instruments, which are expensive and are highly sensitive to humidity. Also labs depends upon type of product being handled requires humidity control.
Generally RH control is required in pharmaceuticals between 5% to 40% which can be achieved only with chemical dehumidification. Pharmaceuticals require combination of temperature & humidity control. The RH required, totally depends upon the product's nature i.e. how hygroscopic is the product. The more the hygroscopic the product is the lower the RH needs to be maintained
